Completely self-contained biological indicator for both steam and EO gas sterilization. Dual spore species (Bacillus stearothermophilus and Bacillus subtilis var.niger) in a single vial, along with specially formulated soybean casein digest growth medium. A vivid colour change in the growth medium from deep blue to bright yellow or evidence of turbidity gives unmistakable evidence of microbial growth. Results are read after 24 hours of incubation for steam processing or 48 hours of incubation for EO processing. A class 5 Verify chemical integrator is supplied with the biological indicators to give an immediate indication of sterilization process failure. |
